Report on Ordinance No. 7 of 1908,

I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, en'itled

An Ordinance to enable Foreign Corporations to acquire and

hold land in the colony

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to

the Governor's Instructions

Several Ordinances have recently been passed in regard to

individual companies but the Government was of opinion that

it is desirable to have a general Ordinance to permit all

Foreign Corporations which under their constitution are

empowered to acquire immovable propert to acquire, hold

and dispose of the same within the Colony but subject to

complying with the requirements of the Ordinance.
